Canada - Express Entry 

Express Entry is a system that IRCC use to manage immigration applications from skilled workers. There are 3 immigration programs managed through Express Entry: Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker Program and Federal Skilled Trades Program. You will get extra points if you are nominated by one of the Provincial Nominee Programs, or with the approved Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) for you intended employment in Canada and can be invited to apply quickly.

Requirements

Canadian work experience (for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience)

  1. Have at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada in the 3 years before you apply 

  2. Have gained your work experience by working in Canada while authorized to work under temporary resident status 

  3. Show that you performed the duties listed in one of the occupations under one of the categories of TEER 0, 1, 2, and 3 occupations of National Occupational Classification 

  4. Your skilled work experience must be paid work, volunteer work or unpaid internships not counted 

  5. Meet the English or French language ability requirements required by your occupation (CLB/NCLC level 5 or 7) 

  6. No education requirement  

Federal Skilled Worker Program (for skilled workers with foreign work experience)

  1. Worked and performed the duties listed in one of the occupations under one of the categories of TEER 0, 1, 2, and 3 occupations of National Occupational Classification (NOC) 

  2. Have gained your work experience within the last 10 years 

  3. Your skilled work experience must be paid work, volunteer work or unpaid internships not counted 

  4. Meet the English or French language ability requirements which is CLB/NCLC level 7 

  5. Obtained a Canadian accredited Education (minimum completed secondary education) 

  6. Pass the selection point test with 67 points 

  7. Have sufficient fund to support you and your family to settle in Canada 

Federal Skilled Trades Program (for skilled workers who are qualified in a skilled trade)

  1. Have at least 2 years of full-time work experience in a skilled trade within the years before you apply 

  2. Your work experience must be in Major Group 72 (excluding Sub-Major Group 726), 73, 82, 83, 92, and 93 (excluding Sub-Major Group 932), Minor Group 6320, and Unit Group 62200 of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 

  3. Meet the job requirements for skilled trade as set out in the NOC 

  4. Show that you performed the duties listed in the occupational description in the NOC 

  5. Have a valid job offer of a full-time employment for a total period of at least 1 year in Canada or certificate of qualification in your skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial or federal authority 

  6. Meet the English or French language ability requirements (Speaking and Listening CLB/NCLC 5, and reading and writing CLB/NCLC 4) 

  7. No education requirement 

  8. Have sufficient fund to support you and your family to settle in Canada 

Procedure 

Step 1: Retain Anlex Consultants to assess your background 

Step 2: Create and submit your Express Entry Profile 

Step 3: Receive Invitation to Apply 

Step 4: Prepare and submit the application for permanent residence 

Step 5:  Receive file number and request letter 

Step 6: Receive the result of the application
